A notification has been issued regarding Extension in Punjab  Winter Holidays 2019 2020 Higher Education Department on 31st December 2019. So, It is a notification of the Punjab holidays 2019-2020 Extension for HED (Higher Education Department).
However, this Notification number of the higher education departments is SO (A-II) 1-1/2001(P). So, It has hereby notified that HED is going to issue partial modification of that notification. which was issued in April 2019. The date of issuing that notification is 8 April 2019.
Now it has been decided by the said department to extend the winter holidays up to 05-01-2019. So, It has been said that the school education department has issued a notification before.

In the notification, school education has said that children of schools in Punjab will avail of winter vacations from 20th December 2019 to 05 January 2020. At that time Higher education had not taken such type of step but now decided to give winter holidays to the boys and girls of colleges and universities due to fog and severe cold weather in the province of Punjab.
The notification also said that all private and public colleges and universities of Punjab will re-open on 6 January 2020 with the schedule of schools in Punjab. So, the higher authority also said that there is no more change in the previous schedule of the holidays mentioned in that notification of April 2019. All the remaining activities will behave well with the demands.
