The Punjab government has decided Nazra Quran E Pak Teaching Compulsory in Grades I-V. So, the government has announced for Punjab schools to teach the quran.

Nazra Quran E Pak Teaching Compulsory in Grades I-V

PUNJAB CURRICULUM & TEXTBOOK BOARD 21/E-II, Gulberg-III, Lahore has issued a notification No. M-48-57/PSMD/2021 Dated: 14-07-2021. So, the government has decided to teach Nazra Quran in schools of Punjab.

Subject: TEACHING OF NAAZRAH OURAN IN GRADES I-V AS A SEPARATE COMPULSORY SUBJECT

However, the Punjab Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran Act, 2018 (Act XVII of 2018) entails that teaching of the Holy Quran is compulsory for Muslim students in all educational institutions (Public Sector / Private Sector / Deeni Madaris) in Punjab.

In addition, the Punjab Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran (Amendment) Act, 2021 (Act XIV of 2021) binds the teaching of the Holy Quran as a separate compulsory subject for Muslim students in all educational institutions in Punjab.

Above all, accordingly, the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) in its 83′ “BOARD” meeting held on 23.06.2021 revised the Scheme of Studies and included the subject of “Naazrah Quran” in Grades I-V as a separate compulsory subject as per the following Schedule:

At last, an initial step, all educational institutions (Public Sector / Private Sector / Deeni Madaris) in Punjab shall teach Naazrah Quran in Grades 1-V as a separate compulsory subject with effect from the forthcoming Academic Session 2021-22. Meanwhile, PCTB has initiated the due process to introduce the “Teaching of the Holy Quran” as a separate compulsory subject for all Grades (I-XII) and it will also be conveyed as soon as possible.
