Notification of Holy Quran as Compulsory Teaching in Schools

Punjab Curriculum Textbook Board Lahore has issued a Notification of the Holy Quran as Compulsory Teaching in Schools. So, the PCTB has issued it on 8 October 2021. The notification no. of PCTB is M-49-03/PCTB/2021.

However, the officials arranged a meeting on 07-10-2021. So, it was the 87th meeting in this regard. Similarly, it has proceeded under Act 2015 section 9(3)c. The PCTB approved another Punjab Compulsory Teaching Act 2018 ( Act XVII of 2018.).

In addition, the Competent Authority, Punjab Curriculum, and Textbook Board, Lahore hereby notified the Curriculum of the teaching of “Naazrah Quran for Grades I-V and Translation of the Holy Quran for Grades VI-XII” as a separate compulsory subject for implementation in all educational institutions (Public Sector, Private Sector, and Deeni Madaris) in Punjab.

Above all, the government is serious about holy Quran teachings in the public and private sectors. So, they are giving guidelines with time. They have organized a complete detail and timetable for kids of classes 1 to 5. Similarly, they are going to implement the translation of the Holy Quran for students above class 5.
