Summer Vacation extension in Punjab, 2024?
As the Sindh Government has announced
an increase in summer vacations, Punjab students are also expecting an increase
in Summer Vacations.
As for before the Government of Punjab
announced holidays in schools from 25th May due to increasing
temperature. The schools are supposed to open on 15 August after Independence Day.
Before this announcement, it was said that the vacations may start in June but
then due to increasing temperature it was rescheduled to 25th May,
and schools were supposed to reopen on 15th August.
Extension in
Punjab summer vacations:
For now, there are no reports about
the extension of summer vacations in Punjab because due to rainfall the weather
seems to be fine. But if the temperature increases the Government of Punjab may
announce an extension in holidays. Till then schools will reopen on 15
August.
Sindh Extends
summer vacations in schools:
The government of Sindh has announced
an increase in holidays by 14 days across the province.
According to the notification issued
by the Sindh government, the schools shall remain closed till 14 August and
shall reopen on 15 August.
According to the reports the increase in
summer holidays is due to an increase in heatwave.
As for Punjab, it depends upon the
weather, if an increase in temperature is recorded and the experts consider it
harmful for students then an increase in holidays may occur. Otherwise, all the
private and Government schools of Punjab shall reopen on 15th August
as scheduled.
