 Winter Vacations in Pakistan, 2024-2025

Punjab’s winter break began on
December 18, 2023, the previous year. Winter holidays are anticipated to begin
shortly if this year’s weather is similar to that of the previous year.

When will the notification be sent out by the government?

The Government issues the notification
as soon as the season progresses and there is colder outside. Depending upon
the severity of the cold, the Government issues winter vacation notifications
just to protect students from catching the cold.

The beginning of winter vacations depends
upon the severity of the cold. If it is more freezing outside at the start of December
the winter vacations will start, if it is more freezing in the middle of December
then the winter vacations will start in the middle, and so on. As the season
progresses and it becomes more freezing outside then the Government issues the
notification for winter vacations.

 When will the vacations begin?

The vacations may begin on 18 Dec or
before or after that. But if the winter vacations do not start in the middle of
the Dec, then there will be one holiday that will be on 25^th December,
Quaid’s Birthday.

Are there winter
vacations for colleges?

This question is frequently asked by
college students, but it depends upon the severity of the season. Sometimes the
Government issues a notification for the colleges to give winter vacations to
the students but they do not follow the issued notification.
