Punjab Government Services and general administration issued a notification on 30th December 2019. So, this notification number is SO (ADMN-II) 8-15/2017. Therefore, this notification is about ex-Pakistan leave (Umrah & Hajj), Maternity leaves, and earned leave.
However, As per Punjab civil administration Act 2017, different rules and sections have been mentioned in the notification. In other words, to delegate the power of rules to the officers BS-17 for the better. Similarly, for greater efficiency in the concerned departments and divisions.
  • 1. it has said to assign an additional charge of BS-17. Such that equivalent officers of the same grade perform better administration and greater efficiency.
  • 2.      It has been said that ex-Pakistan leave should not exceed more than 50 days. This is for performing Hajj and 15 days for performing Umrah.
  • 3.      Now it is possible to go abroad without an official passport. So, the government will issue NOC for renewal or any passport of an official or officer.
  • 4.      It is said that the immediate boss mentioned above will grant not more than 30 days of earned leave.

The additional chief secretary has assigned the power of these above rules to the officer of BS-17 or equivalent post and grade. The government employees of Punjab will be happy with the notification issued in this regard. It will be easy for employees to avail of these leaves from authority. It was difficult to get this compensation easily.
